Abstract

Geotechnical investigations thoroughly and completely define the stratigraphy of the subsurface including complex boundaries. They are particularly useful for practical geotechnical analysis and engineering design. Geotechnical investigations are performed to evaluate those geologic, seismologic and soils conditions that affect the safety, cost effectiveness, design and execution of a proposed engineering project. This study endeavours to develop a low-cost and accessible computer program for use in geotechnical explorations. The computer program (GeoMod) was developed in R software helps to solve the problems of high costs, time wastage and improper reporting of geotechnical data. The objective of this study was to develop a computer program (GeoMod) for dynamic integration of geotechnical investigations.
